Hi there! Let me introduce myself.
As an author, freelance writer and broadcaster, my work has been published in a variety of media worldwide, winning a few national and international awards along the way, including an IRMA and RTNDA.
I'm the Christian faith and life columnist for Yorkton This Week, a position I've held for nearly a decade. I've written two books: West Nile Diary: One Couple's Triumph Over a Deadly Disease ( BPS Books, 2009), and Practice by Practice: The Art of Everyday Faith (Word Alive Press, 2010).
I've done a short stint as editor of Prairies North, Saskatchewan's regional magazine, a position that ended when the publishers felt it necessary to severely downsize.
As a seasoned speaker, I speak to local, provincial, national, and international audiences on motivational, inspirational, and faith topics. Sometimes they laugh.
I'm a member of TWG (The Word Guild), AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association), and a local chapter of writers.
I'm married to (and sometimes team-speak with) Rick, a clergyman I've dubbed 'the Preacher' in my Sunny Side Up columns. Two great young adults (and one very fine in-law!) call me mom, and a few of the cutest human be’ins in the world call me Nana. (I call them my beans in my writing.)
Though I was raised on the West Coast of Cananda, today I call the Canadian Prairie home. I'm convinced we only have two seasons: winter and mosquitoes. God uses both to test my religion. I'm winning.

The Preacher and Me
Rick's a West Nile Disease Survivor, the reason for my book,
West Nile Diary, He also provides copious writing material.
